The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
